Steam Users Have Last Laugh – Epic Games Store Doesn’t Allow Pre-Download Of Metro Exodus

Fans of Metro Exodus who have already purchased the game on Steam will have the last laugh. Following the decision by Deep Silver to partner with Epic Games, giving them temporary exclusive rights, fans were upset. Gamers who purchased the title before the ability to purchase on Steam will still be able to download and play via Steam. Though, no new copies are sold on the platform. The new way to purchase the game is solely on the Epic Games Store.

One thing many people enjoy about pre-ordering games is pre-loading the game before the launch date. This, apparently, is not planned for Epic Games Store. For those who are unaware, most any game bought through Steam allows you to pre-download the pre-ordered game. If you are to opt for that, it will download and you will have nothing but a potential day-one patch to download before playing.

Metro Exodus is launching tomorrow for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store.
